Dickens Village “Master Thatcher’s Cottage”- Dickens Village

With railroads now connecting pottery production centers to remote villages throughout Europe, the Master Thatcher finishes the roof on his final cottage—his own—just in time to watch crates of new ceramic roofing tiles being carried to his neighbor. Made from high-quality porcelain, its intricately detailed features are hand-painted by skilled artisans. The building is illuminated using an attached battery box and two C batteries (batteries not included).

Victorian England, at the time of Charles Dickens, was the center of culture for the world, where many traditions we celebrate today took shape. Its architecture, customs, and history are inherent in the Dickens Village Series from Department 56.
