Diana, Princess of Wales is fondly remembered as someone who cared passionately for others – making everyone she met feel special and valued with her genuine warmth and compassion. Lochcarron of Scotland, the world’s largest manufacturer of authentic tartan, received official approval to design the Diana, Princes of Wales Memorial Tartan in September 1997. It was created in sympathetic response and respect for the Princess’s memory. The tartan is based on a variation of the Royal Stewart plaid, in colors inspired by the Princess.
